Responsibilities
- Support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain medical supply stocking levels within the assigned healthcare facility, including ancillary departments.
- Make recommendations for par level adjustments and place orders to align supply costs with clinical unit budgets.
- Perform physical receipt of goods and validate shipping against packing slips from FedEx, UPS, USPS, and capital equipment deliveries.
- Manage outstanding backorders and receipts by executing queries in the procurement system daily or weekly, addressing discrepancies, and communicating with relevant departments.
- Manage returns to vendor (RTV) items.
- Deliver medical equipment and supplies to clinical supply closets.
- Rotate and stock products according to a first-in, first-out model.
- Cook up deliveries and vendor-managed supplies (e.g., linen) with contracted suppliers.
- Manage inventory in clinical supply areas: organize supply areas, manage shelf life and expiring products, remove unused supplies, and coordinate with vendors.
Requirements
- One year's experience in supply chain preferred.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with other departments to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical/surgical services and supplies and inventory.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer knowledge and skills required.
- Average Associate Degree in Business or Health Care related field preferred.
