Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

The Supply Chain Specialist ensures the supportability of customer requirements and inventory turns through effective supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements to determine and perform necessary actions, including sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting, and cancellation.
• Research, recommend, and negotiate best-practice procurements.
• Prepare requests for quotes, purchase orders, and purchase order change notices.
• Ensure purchases comply with customer flow-down requirements.
• Work closely with vendors to develop and maintain strategic relationships.
• Review data to ensure adequate supportability is maintained.
• Negotiate pricing for best value and strategic wins.
• Resolve issues internally and externally through effective communication.
• Monitor inventory levels and supportability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills.
