Supply Chain Raw Material Specialist II - Erlanger, KY
About the role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Raw Material Specialist II is a key tactical position within the Supply Chain Management Team. This role requires minimal supervision and the ability to resolve complex questions and problems. The Specialist will handle the daily execution of purchase orders and maintenance of incoming ingredients, dealing with multifaceted and specialized workloads. The position demands problem-solving ability, strong organizational and analytical skills, self-direction, and proficiency in multiple computer applications, including all ADM MIS systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all assigned category(ies) inbound raw material management.
- Ensure timely and accurate PO issuance.
- Work collaboratively with the Logistics Team to determine appropriate transportation modes to control freight costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inbound raw material delays.
- Collaborate with Strategic Buyers, local supply chain teams, and broader business teams as required.
- Align with Strategic Procurement on Raw Material Data Attributes (safety stock levels, forecast & lead times) within the ERP system.
- Support the vendor payment process, aiding in resolving payment delays and discrepancies.
- Optimize raw material inventory to maximize operational efficiency with a focus on the right quantity and quality.
- Reduce working capital requirements by minimizing excess raw material inventory.
- Perform data entry and analysis of inventory, cost savings, synergy, and other required metrics.
- Track Vendor Execution KPIs and assist with supplier scorecard data.
- Analyze inbound raw material process structures, identify areas of improvement, and lead change initiatives.
- Manage priorities from multiple internal customers while remaining professional and thorough.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on new technology and innovation.
- Align personal goals with those of upper management and make quick, effective decisions to meet commercial business standards.
- Develop superior knowledge of supply chain operations and organizational awareness.
- Build positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions and responsibilities.
- Effectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office and other locations.

Requirements
- University Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred (Logistics/Supply Chain).
- 3+ years’ experience in Purchasing, Logistics & Supply Chain; food and/or flavor experience a plus.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills (database, spreadsheets, processing software) and math skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to excel within a high-risk and fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
- Manage effective working relationships with co-workers, suppliers, internal customers, and operations.

Pay
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $54,600.00 and $102,000.00 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime for qualifying hours.
