Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 3

About the role
As Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist, you’ll be crucial to missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This role supports Bid & Proposal activities across Northrop Grumman's Space Superiority Division (SSD) and drives pre-award procurement activities by securing compliant pricing, technical, and delivery commitments from key suppliers to increase the fidelity of piece-part pricing, procurement planning, and overall competitiveness of the bid.
Responsibilities
- Drafts, reviews, & executes Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with strategic supply partners.
- Authors & issues Requests for Information (RFIs) and/or Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to obtain supplier pricing & technical data.
- Receives & reviews Consolidated Bill of Materials (CBOMs) for accuracy and completeness. Prioritizes high-dollar, critical long-lead item, and/or unpriced line items for RFIs/RFQs.
- Evaluates supplier bids & establishes price reasonableness to support the prime proposal's cost volume.
- Collaborates with Capture, Proposal, Contracts, Engineering, & Material Estimating teams to align supplier capabilities with overall win themes.
- Ensures adherence to frameworks like FAR/DFARS, public law requirements, export control requirements such as ITAR/EAR, as well as company (and business) policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, subcontracts, proposals, or contracts. Or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAR/DFAR experience
- Experience working with Bill of Materials (BOMs) with hundreds/thousands of line items
- Experience working on bid & proposals
- Costpoint/SAP knowledge
Schedule
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $128,400.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
