About the role

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for the operational implementation, project management, and monitoring of key Supply Chain strategies. This position drives continuous improvement across the complete supply chain to reduce costs, improve efficiencies, and ensure on-time delivery. The role manages approximately 10 direct reports and collaborates with additional staff to meet operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of planners, expeditors, and production controllers to ensure strong execution of supply chain operations.
  • Own and drive the strategic development of manufacturing plans and master production schedules aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end project execution for new business transitions and program launches, ensuring rapid, efficient ramp-up and alignment with operational strategy and key performance metrics.
  • Establish and track key supply chain metrics to improve on-time delivery, reduce shortages, and optimize plant capacity utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance schedule flexibility while minimizing inventory risk, reducing exposure, and meeting cost and service targets.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce lead times across the supply chain; measure, track, and communicate progress internally and to customers.
  • Oversee and optimize lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), order rates, inventory levels, and delivery plans; continuously improve demand planning, service levels, and inventory management systems and processes.
  • Monitor and report monthly supply chain performance, proactively identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership on supply constraints, risks, and demand growth opportunities, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Sales teams to execute supply chain improvements.
  • Lead or support special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Inventory Management, or Business required.
  • 5+ years of supply chain management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred CPIM certification through APICS, or C.P.M. certification through ISM.
  • Preferred training and experience in Kanban, JIT, Lean Manufacturing, and pull systems.
  • INFOR Syteline experience a plus.
  • Databricks, Power BI, and programming skills are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, team development, project management, and technical skills.
