About the role

Leads the department associates by creating and sharing a common vision and direction aligned with the organization’s strategy. Collaborates with managers and associates across other areas to manage and accomplish operational objectives for the department and the broader unit. Supports and coordinates with managers at all levels to achieve unit goals and overall supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timeliness, quality, and effectiveness of all processes within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Direct the team on activities that align with the Customer First Service strategy, ensuring merchandise is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Plan and manage department programs and activities to ensure critical processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently across multiple shifts, meeting business plans and priorities.
  • Resolve problems within the department to keep operations on track; escalate to appropriate associates or use crisis management methods when necessary to prevent business disruptions.
  • Observe and review associate performance, ensuring proper execution of procedures and efficient departmental functions.
  • Engage and support associates by providing direction, coaching, feedback, and recognition while maintaining effective customer support.
  • Promote clear communication throughout the department to ensure a thorough understanding of processes and procedures.
  • Communicate issues with associates in other logistics units and the Home Office as they relate to the assigned area.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with external service providers and industry contacts.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent logistics-related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with demonstrated success in overseeing a logistics function in a high-volume, multi-shift environment.
  • Superior supervisory and development abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, functions, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good critical thinking skills for proactive planning and crisis management.

Pay

USD $69,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 per year.
