About the role
Oversee all steps within the supply chain process, including planning, procurement, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and inventory management. Ensure the entire supply chain is efficient, on-time, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-collaboration between the supply chain organization and other departments, including Production Development, QA, Accounting, Customer Service, and Marketing.
- Manage existing supplier relationships and source new ones as needed.
- Develop and maintain the plant's master production schedule in accordance with Operations and Sales/Demand Planning, balancing service levels, changeovers, and capacity constraints.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, FIFO/FEFO rotation, order fulfillment, cycle counts, and warehouse safety.
- Partner with QA/Food Safety on supplier approval, raw material specifications, and inventory traceability to support food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in maintenance and MRO purchasing as necessary.
- Assist in the management of the ERP system for inventory control.
- Communicate issues, concerns, and recommendations, including corrective and preventative action plans.
- Oversee all direct supply chain and product-related spend.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline (preferred).
- 3-7 years of purchasing and production experience.
