Supply Chain Manager, Returnable Broker Operations

What You'll Do

  • New Supplier Onboarding: Lead end-to-end onboarding of new suppliers into the Tesla Returnable Packaging Broker Program, including contract alignment, process integration, and system setup
  • Program Expansion: Drive the rollout and standardization of the broker program across new and existing Tesla sites throughout North America, ensuring consistency in execution and compliance
  • Broker & 3PL Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 brokers and 3PL partners; manage performance, service levels, and contract adherence
  • KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all brokers, including return rates, transit times, damage rates, and cost per unit. Use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Escalation Management: Act as the escalation owner for broker-related issues (e.g., delays, lost assets, compliance gaps), coordinating with internal teams (Logistics, Procurement, Operations) and external partners to resolve issues promptly
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase returnable packaging utilization, reduce loss, and improve overall RPM efficiency
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Packaging Engineering teams to align on program goals and ensure seamless integration with broader logistics operations

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) — essential for effective communication with suppliers and brokers across North America
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics brokerage, 3PL management, or supply chain operations with direct experience managing third-party partners
  • Understanding international trade programs (USMCA, IMMEX, CTPAT etc.) and familiarity with export compliance broker and classification workflows
  • Demonstrated experience with KPI development, data analysis, and performance reporting
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), ERP systems, and logistics tracking platforms
