About the role

We have a newly created position for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Ingredients division in Merry Hill, NC. This position leads and directs all facets of supply chain management including warehousing, inventory management, material forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning, inventory control, and indirect buying.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Departments, and MRO buying.
  • Coordinates efforts with the Customer Service, Production, and Purchasing teams to ensure supply meets customer needs.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
  • Analyze and manage inventory to achieve optimal inventory levels.
  • Manage the warehouse function including receiving of raw materials, shipping of finished goods, and organizing of warehouse(s).
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning, Finance, and Purchasing to translate customer forecasts as part of the S&OP process.
  • Identify and review opportunities for new supply sources for indirect purchases per departmental procedures.
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
  • Identify adoption of KPIs as they apply to Supply Chain successes.
  • Maintain numerous department files and records.
  • Handle special tasks and projects as requested to meet company objectives.
  • Perform vendor audits as required.
  • Actively participate in relevant education/training based on corporate and local environmental objectives, supporting and facilitating actions to implement environmental policies and promote continual improvement.

Interacts with: R&D, QC, Production, Sales, Management Committee, Vendors, and Customers.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain Experience.
  • Purchasing experience preferable.
  • Experience in transportation scheduling (inbound and outbound).
  • SAP experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
