About the role

The candidate will join the Sub-Same Day (SSD-Direct) Labor Planning delivery team, contributing to Amazon’s initiative to provide faster-than-same-day delivery across North America. This role involves owning strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects within Amazon Supply Chain, requiring strong project management, process development, and execution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, communicate, and manage labor plans to optimize for safety, cost, and quality.
  • Plan and execute the overall program strategy, driving teams within and outside your organization to deliver results.
  • Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, and drive improvements quantified with metrics.
  • Work autonomously in ambiguous environments, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, and leadership decisions.
  • Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to prioritize projects.
  • Identify and address gaps between teams, processes, and systems to reduce exposure to failure modes (e.g., unclear requirements, ineffective collaboration, long-term impacts from third-party solutions, security oversights, insufficient stakeholder review).
  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with program managers, business leaders, and the executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility into milestones and performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied organizational levels.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.

Pay

  • USA, NY, New York: $94,300.00 - $141,500.00 USD annually.
  • USA, TN, Nashville: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00 USD annually.
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $85,800.00 - $128,600.00 USD annually.

Compensation package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
