Supply Chain Manager Companion Animal
About the role
Join Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company and global leader in animal nutrition and aquafeed, in a critical leadership role driving the performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our Companion Animal Supply Chain. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead demand planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes to ensure exceptional customer service while optimizing costs, inventory levels, and profitability. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Formulation, and Operations teams to establish data-driven planning processes, enhance forecast accuracy, and build strong partnerships with logistics providers. Additionally, you will lead and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team, drive change management initiatives, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead demand planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the Companion Animal Supply Chain.
- Optimize costs, inventory levels, and profitability while ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Establish data-driven planning processes and enhance forecast accuracy.
- Build strong partnerships with logistics providers and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Formulation, Operations).
- Lead and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team.
- Drive change management initiatives and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards across all supply chain activities.
- Proactively identify root causes, solve problems, and continuously improve processes.
- Balance customer service, inventory, and profitability objectives.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4-6 years of Supply Chain Management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or equivalent experience.
- Change management and people leadership skills (cultural sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills).
- Strong business acumen with effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Domestic travel (10%).
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with prioritization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, project management, and ERP systems is considered a strong asset.

Pay
Target salary range: $100,000 to $120,000, varying based on skill set, education, and level of experience.
Schedule
Full-time, hybrid with 3 days per week onsite at Trouw Nutrition – 115 Executive Drive, Highland, Illinois.
