About the role
A growing electronics manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse Operations, and Inventory Control functions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement, planning, storage, and distribution of materials needed to support production and business objectives. Reporting directly to the Operations leadership team, this position will drive supplier performance, inventory optimization, and supply chain excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control teams.
- Ensure material availability to meet production demands while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
- Develop and execute sourcing, procurement, and inventory management strategies.
- Manage the purchase of electronic components, PCBs, metals, wire, MRO supplies, and other direct and indirect materials.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, and commercial terms to support cost and operational goals.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while monitoring supplier performance metrics.
- Analyze market trends, supply risks, and component availability within the electronics manufacturing sector.
- Oversee inventory control, forecasting, production planning, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, service levels, and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales teams to support operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems and regulatory requirements, including ISO and ITAR standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, or related functions within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience purchasing electronic components, PCBs, metals, wire, and MRO materials.
- Proven success in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable export control requirements.
Pay
$120,000 - $145,000
Schedule
- Full-time, onsite position.
- Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility as business needs require.
