Responsibilities

  • Maintain and communicate the official production schedule across all departments
  • Clearly communicate schedule changes to all impacted departments and shifts
  • Assure FIFO methods are used for all packaging and ingredient usage
  • Report inventory that is within 90 days of its shelf life to communicate urgency of usage
  • Verify availability of all required materials and ingredients prior to scheduled runs
  • Clock in and distribute batch sheets for the Bulk & Production department as required
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels of all materials and ingredients
  • Avoid over-stocking and prevent out-of-stock situations
  • Monitor inventory trends and usage patterns
  • Own the packaging yield and communicate/resolve with production and operations teams
  • Maintain constant communication with both production shifts to support smooth startups and transitions
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to ensure:
    • No materials are left on production lines after production is completed
    • Materials and ingredients are stored in designated and appropriate locations
    • Storage conditions comply with all SOP requirements
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Ensure vendors deliver materials on time, follow proper storage and handling requirements, and do not contribute to overstock or shortage issues
  • Communicate material defects or concerns to vendors directly or through the MEC portal
  • Cook with Quality and Production teams on material quality issues
  • Partner with Finance to forecast material and ingredient requirements
  • Align purchasing and inventory levels with production forecasts and budget expectations
  • Support accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation
  • Monitor CO2 and Nitrogen usage through vendor portals
  • Identify abnormal usage patterns or spikes
  • Escalate potential leaks, malfunctions, or inefficiencies to Operations and Maintenance
  • Maintain close coordination with Finished Goods Warehousing to ensure:
    • Accurate scanning of materials into and out of production
    • Proper return of unused materials to inventory
  • Investigate discrepancies when incorrect quantities are returned or recorded
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory inaccuracies
  • Perform appropriate cycle counts assigned by finance team
  • Ensure all SOPs related to material and ingredient storage are followed at all times
  • Report observed material defects or compliance concerns to:
    • Quality team
    • Production team
    • Vendors (as appropriate)
  • Maintain proactive, ongoing communication across departments to prevent disruptions
  • Maintain documentation required for food safety protocols

    Qualifications

    • Experience in supply chain management
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Knowledge of FIFO methods and inventory management principles
    • Experience with production scheduling and coordination
    • Understanding of food safety protocols and compliance
