Supply Chain Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the end-to-end supply chain function for a growing manufacturing organization. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the complete flow of materials across the business, including demand planning, purchasing, supplier management, inventory control, warehousing/stockroom operations, and shipping logistics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills who also enjoys improving processes, reducing costs, and supporting production goals.
The position is a Contract to Hire role based in Patterson, NY. The work environment is set in a manufacturing setting of a small to mid-sized company. The purchasing team consists of 3 employees, with a business casual dress code. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The company boasts a low attrition rate, with departures typically due to relocation or retirement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the supply chain organization, including purchasing, inventory/stockroom, and shipping teams.
- Establish departmental priorities, performance expectations, and operational objectives aligned with business goals.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and accountability for direct reports and cross-functional teams.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, purchasing, and supplier performance management.
