Supply Chain Manager (3148)
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Director is to drive the procurement of materials and services, negotiating with vendors to achieve the best possible price with the best quality, all with the aim of improving the company’s margin while enhancing our customers’ experience. In addition, the Supply Chain Director will serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, machinery and supplies
- Drive consistency and accuracy within the company supply chain by developing and maintaining organization of all processes and procedures
- Identify problematic areas in regards to supply chain management, and implement solutions to overcome difficulties
- Develop and implement nation-wide purchasing/contract programs
- Maintain existing vendor relationships while developing new supply sources, negotiating with current vendors to obtain the best possible price and service guarantee
- Plan, organize and coordinate product deliveries
- Process purchase orders and measure vendor performance
- Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in the day-to-day activities of each and every project
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or combination of equivalent education and related experience
- At least 5 years experience in supply chain management or an equivalent field
- Proficient in MS Office and other required PC software applications
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and understanding of Pivot Tables
- Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects
