Supply Chain Finance Analyst
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for optimizing the movement, storage, and flow of goods across the supply chain while supporting inventory management and cost-control initiatives.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while supporting working capital objectives.
- Track, measure, and report key supply chain and logistics performance metrics, including transportation costs, inventory turns, service levels, and freight spend.
- Investigate and resolve freight billing discrepancies, claims, and payment issues with carriers and service providers.
- Validate, approve and process third party warehousing and freight invoices.
- Manage and track OS&D (Overage, Shortage, and Damage) incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze transportation, warehousing, and distribution data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Generate and maintain inventory and financial reporting.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders (plant, customer service & transportation) in planning, development, analysis, and documentation of inventory needs.
- Prepares analysis, journal entries, accruals, and reporting for month end review.
- Performs analysis as needed for inventory reconciliation.
- Understands and places in practice appropriate safety procedures.
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Experience in Supply Chain, inventory control or Accounting/Finance or related field.
- Experience reviewing freight invoices, third party logistic invoices and carrier billing discrepancies preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, sumifs, data analysis and reporting.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using business intelligence tools.
- Demonstrated / applied Lean skillset.
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (SAP or SAP/S4HANA) & financial management software (Basware).
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers.
- Problem solving and an analytical mind with strong math skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GAAP preferred.
Education
A BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. The salary range for this role is $72,512 USD - $108,768 with a midpoint of $90,640. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. In rare cases, highly qualified candidates may receive an offer above the midpoint; however, offers at the maximum of the range are not customary. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work conditions are typical of an office environment. This role requires 10% domestic travel. Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds. Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
