Supply Chain Dock Coordinator - Full-Time First-Shift - Bayfront Hospital - St Petersburg

About the role

Aims to receive, ship, and distribute supplies to hospital departments, ensuring timely and accurate availability of required supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for outbound carriers and coordinates dock traffic.
  • Verifies incoming orders against bill of lading or shipping documents.
  • Performs visual inspection on packages to identify damaged items.
  • Aids in resolving or reporting shipping issues.
  • Works with purchasing for discrepancies and shipping issues.
  • Prepares outgoing materials for shipping, including returns and repairs.
  • Confirms accurate labeling, purchase orders, return authorizations, and material disposition documents.
  • Enters completed purchase orders as per functional assignment.
  • Collaborates with purchasing for delivery of capital equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinates with Clinical Engineering for equipment check-in/check-out.
  • Prioritizes and distributes orders to requesting locations.
  • Participates in put away and validation processes for perpetual inventoried items.
  • Supports annual or bi-annual inventory counts.
  • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Performs accurate and timely filing and archiving of source documentation.
  • Reconciles aging open orders and unit of measure discrepancies.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Coordinates activities on the dock, including showing drivers where departments and customers are located.
  • Maintains compliance with safety procedures and guidelines for heavy equipment and company vehicles.
  • Ensures adherence to Orlando Health's records retention policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (preferred).
  • Two (2) years of experience in supply chain warehousing, receiving dock, or shipping and receiving.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, dock equipment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with automated Supply Chain Management systems.

Qualifications
