Job Summary

Responsible for receiving, distributing, replenishing, and managing supplies and equipment to support efficient healthcare operations. This position serves as a key resource within Supply Chain Services by ensuring accurate receiving, inventory control, replenishment, and delivery of supplies throughout the facility.

Essential Functions

  • Receives, inspects, and accepts incoming deliveries to ensure products match packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Processes receiving transactions and maintains accurate inventory records using designated inventory management systems.
  • Organizes, stores, and maintains supplies, equipment, and inventory within warehouse and storeroom locations.
  • Completes supply replenishment activities for assigned par locations to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Picks, stocks, counts, and replenishes supplies to support departmental inventory needs.
  • Conducts routine inventory counts and daily par cart reviews to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Delivers supplies, equipment, mail, packages, and related materials to designated departments and customer locations.
  • Picks up return items and coordinates returns to vendors and suppliers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Processes product returns, resolves invoice discrepancies related to purchase orders, and communicates issues to appropriate departments.
  • Tags capital equipment upon receipt and provides required information to purchasing and asset management teams.
  • Affords assistance with product conversions, inventory adjustments, item master updates, and par location organization initiatives.
  • Maintains par locations by ensuring supplies are accurately labeled, properly organized, and adequately stocked.
  • Collaborates with clinical departments and operational stakeholders to address inventory needs and provide recommendations regarding par level adjustments.
  • Distributes materials throughout the facility according to established routes, schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Maintains warehouse, storeroom, and assigned work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Completes all required system documentation and associated software transactions accurately and timely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory management, receiving, replenishment, and supply distribution processes.
  • Basic mathematical skills with the ability to count, calculate, and reconcile inventory accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact professionally with delivery drivers, vendors, clinicians, and team members.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify, sort, count, organize, and track inventory accurately.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and billing procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet departmental deadlines.
  • Ability to process large deliveries and shipments in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, healthcare supplies, and clinical products preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, replenishment processes, and par-level management preferred.
  • Understanding of receiving procedures and materials management principles preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to address shipping discrepancies and supply issues professionally and effectively.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices related to receiving, storage, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic communication tools, and mail processing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities successfully.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Field of Study N/A

Work Experience

One year of related experience in supply chain, materials management, logistics, inventory management, customer service, or a related field required.
