About the role
The position is responsible for managing a team of professional Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Managers who administer subcontracts and purchase orders for several Advanced Development Programs. They will collaborate with the Material Program Managers on the overall Acquisition Strategy across all the Programs they support.
Responsibilities
- Execute sourcing strategies for development programs and emerging technologies.
- Manage a team of professional Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Managers who administer subcontracts and purchase orders for several Advanced Development Programs.
- Collaborate with Material Program Managers on the overall Acquisition Strategy across all the Programs they support.
- Direct all phases of the subcontracts from sourcing strategies, initiation, Request for Proposals (RFPs), proposals, negotiations, issuing purchase orders, long-term agreements, internal audits, cost accountability executive reviews, supplier reviews, program reviews, contract closeout, compliance requirements, and all associated metrics.
- Career Development: Coordinate employee selection/hiring, training, development, performance and assessments, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
- Demonstrated experience working with FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Experience with subcontract cost, quality, schedule, and technical program performance.
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A & D) Industry, driving results within a metric-based environment.
- Experience as a Manager and/or Team Lead including identifying & building organizational talent, team building, and individual contributor growth/development.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security clearance to be considered for this role.
Skills
- Experience interfacing and interacting with senior leaders of the organization.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple overlapping projects, simultaneously.
- Negotiations experience, in a Truth in Negotiations (TINA) environment.
- Procurement experience to include major sub-systems and mission systems, per both FAR 15 and FAR 12.
- Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring new and emerging talent.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience addressing & resolving complex matters/solutions with Senior Leadership, customers & suppliers.
- Experience with continuous improvement and ability to implement change and drive efficiency.
