Responsibilities
- Understand market trends, supply chain dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform sourcing decisions.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Independently create, manage, and track purchase orders using ERP systems.
- Forecast demand using historical data, market signals, and statistical tools.
- Set and adjust MRP parameters (lead time, safety stock, reorder points).
- Monitor supplier performance and execute scorecards and improvement initiatives.
- Balance inventory levels to meet service goals while minimizing carrying costs.
- Manage logistics decisions for timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Execute root cause analysis and corrective actions for supply disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain ethical sourcing practices and data integrity.
Requirements
- Education: College degree required; if no degree, 4+ years of relevant, equivalent experience.
- Experience: 0–2 years of functional experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Financial acumen with understanding of budgeting and total cost of ownership.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Developing knowledge of inventory management processes and MRP logic.
- Developing knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit practices.
