Responsibilities

  • Understand market trends, supply chain dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams.
  • Independently create, manage, and track purchase orders using ERP systems.
  • Forecast demand using historical data, market signals, and statistical tools.
  • Set and adjust MRP parameters (lead time, safety stock, reorder points).
  • Monitor supplier performance and execute scorecards and improvement initiatives.
  • Balance inventory levels to meet service goals while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Manage logistics decisions for timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Execute root cause analysis and corrective actions for supply disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain ethical sourcing practices and data integrity.

Requirements

  • Education: College degree required; if no degree, 4+ years of relevant, equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of functional experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial acumen with understanding of budgeting and total cost of ownership.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Developing knowledge of inventory management processes and MRP logic.
  • Developing knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit practices.
