Supply Chain Buyer

About the role

This position is accountable for implementing and controlling the procurement of raw materials, containers, cartons, and related packaging supplies on time and at the best price. This role maintains an uninterrupted flow of production and keeps appropriate inventory levels while attaining plant inventory and production efficiency goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase raw and packaging components for the manufacturing facility
• Expedite/de-expedite components based on inventory levels and production schedules
• Analyze label requirements and take necessary action to ensure labels coordinate with batch shipment
• Review MRP (Material Resource Planning) daily for unusual production to determine inventory levels
• Coordinate with Production, Receiving, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist with production scheduling
• Enforce terms and conditions of purchase orders, compliance with legal requirements, and Company policy

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics
