Supply Chain - Buyer

About the role

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for sourcing and procuring components needed to fill customer demand, negotiating fair pricing, and ensuring timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build relationships as the main point of contact for daily business execution with suppliers.
• Source and place vendor purchase orders to fill customer POs.
• Monitor PO delivery and expedite where necessary.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Maintain data integrity for procurement activities.
• Monitor overall supplier performance, provide feedback, and jointly create action plans with suppliers.
• Support Strategic Business Reviews with suppliers.
• Work closely with customer service, sales, and strategic alliance groups to understand customer demand and requirements.
• Analyze demand and recommend strategic purchases when beneficial.
• Recommend and support/lead improvements to optimize the overall process and drive greater efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years related experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Analytical mind with business acumen.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Reports to: Sr. Supply Chain Manager or Director of Supply Chain.
