Supply Chain Analyst

Pay: $51.23/hour (duration: 12+ months)

This is an onsite/hybrid position in Foster City (3 days/week).

About the role

A data-driven, execution-focused procurement professional who enables Category Managers by translating complex spend, supplier, and market data into actionable insights and operational execution. This role supports Indirect Procurement, focusing on purchases such as lab supplies and lab equipment.

You will join a small team of four Category Leads reporting to Mike, supporting three Category Leads focused on Research organizations. This role acts as the engine room of category management, ensuring strategies are grounded in data, implemented consistently, and scaled across categories.

Data analysis is the biggest piece of the role. Candidates could come from procurement, supply chain, finance, or similar backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Category strategy support
• Supplier reviews
• Spend analysis and taxonomy management
• Ensuring spend is categorized correctly and correcting misclassified spend
• Assisting managers with developing category strategies
• Supporting savings calculations
• Assisting with recommendations to leadership
• Running reports to support planning
• Supporting RFPs

Estimated time allocation:

• 40-50% Data analysis
• 25-30% Sourcing
• Remaining time supporting category strategy, supplier management, reporting, and RFPs

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in a corporate environment performing data analysis
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or similar backgrounds
• Biotech/Pharma experience preferred
• Procurement experience is a plus but less important than industry experience
• Strong ability to dive into and analyze data
