Kawasaki Precision Machinery, (U.S.A.), Inc., headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI and a division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Analyst.This position with primary responsibilities to manage inbound flow of parts and materials as well as managing inventory levels to meet customer and business needs. This position also works with freight companies ensuring shipments are running smoothly. The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing the inbound flow of parts and materials and maintaining inventory levels to support customer and business needs. This position works closely with internal teams and freight carriers to ensure shipments are delivered efficiently and on schedule. Responsibilities:Collaborate with production planning and operations to ensure materials are available to meet production schedulesCoordinate and track inbound shipments from the UK and JapanMaintain accurate logistics information in company ERP systemMaintain communication with Japan utilizing the CFA ReportReceiving inventory in company ERP System from international and domestic shipmentsManage freight bills as part of the bill approval processAssist with filing importing records and maintaining the company filing systemsMonitor all tariff issues, material documentation, customs and COOAdvise on HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code classificationCreate compliance manualReview processes for ISO Standards complianceEvaluate Freight Forwarders and make recommendations on best partnershipsWork with freight partners and internal teams to identify cost savings opportunitiesLead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen supply chain performanceSupport all purchasing aspects of motors and parts from JapanManage inventory levels on assigned materialsAnalyze demand, forecasts, and purchasing history to determine appropriate inventory levelsMonitor and adjust safety stock levels, order quantities, and replenishment timingExecute purchasing activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives Qualifications:5+ year related experience in logistics, purchasing and/or supply chainKnowledge of HTS Codes & TariffsExperience in a purchasing roleExperience working with Freight companiesKnowledge of tariffs and international shippingStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal skills, and work well in team environmentExcellent attention to detail and time management skills What We Offer:Your health and wellness are important to you - and to us.
