Supplier Relations Specialist
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day interactions between Wesco and the external partner, including gathering information, following up on open items, and supporting routine communication.
- Schedule and prepare materials for supplier meetings, business reviews, and planning sessions.
- Carefully coordinate meetings with suppliers and sales teams, document meeting notes, action items, and follow-through requirements.
- Maintain supplier scorecards, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools.
- Review data related to fill rates, on-time delivery, quality issues, and cost changes, communicate findings to internal teams and external partners to drive strategies and solutions.
- Develop resolutions for delivery or order discrepancies and coordinate with supply chain teams to execute.
- Advise internal and external partners regarding demand planning by collecting supplier forecasts, lead time updates, and production constraints.
- Aid with contract renewals, amendments, and documentation workflows.
- Responsible for product setup, pricing updates, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers to educate sales teams regarding supplier funded marketing or training initiatives.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, gather data for cost or program analysis, and provide recommendations based on the findings.
- Manage supplier relationships involving maintaining accurate supplier records, tracking supplier responses to corrective action requests, and processing supplier updates in ERP or supplier management systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or administrative support.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data.
- Proficiency with Excel and basic reporting tools.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%.
Pay
Compensation Details: $73,125 - $95,062 Annually. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
