About the role

The Supplier Quality Vehicle Line (SQVL) manages new, mid-cycle, and carryover vehicle programs manufactured in North America (NA). This position ensures key quality milestones and goals are met for all supplier components. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Purchasing throughout the full lifecycle of components, including early source package approvals, supplier eligibility, supplier selection, launch phase, and production.

The SQVL serves as the primary Supplier Quality contact for the vehicle program, overseeing launch readiness activities and daily launch meetings. The role requires direct collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure proper follow-up of launch issues.

This position supports the Windsor Assembly Plant and manages SQ deliverables for the RU and LB programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, coordinate, and present program-level status updates on Supplier Quality activities for designated programs.
  • Work with suppliers and STELLANTIS manufacturing plant personnel on issue resolution.
  • Educate STELLANTIS plant staff on STELLANTIS Supplier Quality systems as required.
  • Manage Supplier Quality program reporting requirements for program reviews.
  • Manage program risk assessment summaries.
  • Oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Facilitate the deployment of safe launch strategies, problem resolution reviews, early sourcing processes, and supplier selection.
  • Develop, present, and explain program status updates to senior leadership.
  • Manage multiple individual work teams and work globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university; degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered.
  • 8 or more years of work experience in Supplier Quality, Product Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the N.A. region and globally as required.
  • Daily onsite support at the Assembly plant from early pilot phase through SOPM.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Program management work experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with customers at multiple levels, including external to the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, Green Belt or Black Belt skills/certification (Red X/Shainin), or Quality certification.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Creative problem-solving ability and results orientation, comfortable with complex technical analysis.
