Supplier Quality Technician I -1st shift

To be a technical focal point determining appropriate inspection processes and providing guidance to the Receiving Inspection function at the site level. Assign inspection plans and document issues with supplier parts for Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve through the CAPA process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal person for commodity-related quality and functional issues stemming from purchased components.
• Ensure timely resolution of all production-critical supplier issues.
• Act as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods, providing guidance to the Receiving Inspection team.
• Determine IQC inspection plans and levels, adjusting based on 6-month performance monitoring and impact to improve quality on the production floor.
• Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base, assisting them in achieving “Dock to Stock” certification with Jabil.
• Answer supplier-related Jira questions within customer-established time targets.
• Proactively communicate information or issues that may impact production.
• Implement holds and purges based on customer requests.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply with all procedures within the company’s security policy.
• Participate in the MRB process to confirm supplier-related issues as required.
• Ensure control build process and vendor rework process are tracked appropriately in traceability systems.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Quality required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required, or equivalent experience.
• Basic PC skills required; SAP Receiving Inspection knowledge preferred.
