SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER 4

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. This is a full-time, 1st shift role with up to 25% travel required.

About the Role

Performs a variety of duties necessary for the ongoing operation of the supplier surveillance process. Will require collaboration and coordination with customers and other internal functions, including engineering, supply chain procurement, quality assurance, and manufacturing trades.

• Oversee, review, and monitor manufacturing processes at supplier facilities.
• Audit the supplier's quality management system and technical capabilities.
• Perform related studies to ensure engineering and procurement specifications are met.
• Initiate and validate supplier corrective or preventive actions to resolve problems discovered during supplier assessments.
• Train and develop suppliers.
• Investigate or coordinate the resolution of material-related non-conformances.
• Interface with internal Procurement and Engineering functions to facilitate the development and communication of part ordering requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience, or
  • Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience, or
  • Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an engineering design environment.
• Experience in a Supplier Quality role or environment.
• Background in shipyard waterfront operations.
• Experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Auditing experience.
• Project management or leadership experience.
• Technical writing and customer relations skills.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean training or certification.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $124,000.00 to $153,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
