About Us

At Teradyne Robotics, a division of Teradyne, we are revolutionizing industries through cutting-edge collaborative and autonomous mobile robotic technologies. As part of our team, you’ll work with global leaders Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), driving innovation that enhances manufacturing, logistics, and workplaces across the world.

Our vision at Universal Robots is to create a world where people work with robots, not like robots. With 75,000+ cobots already installed worldwide, we’re well on the way to achieving it. Working towards this vision provides endless opportunities to learn, grow, innovate, and solve problems together as we bring our technology to companies of all sizes globally.

Opportunity Overview

In this role, you will influence the smooth running of our day-to-day production operations. You will be responsible for production planning and balancing production capacity plans to meet demand. As a Production Planner, you will ensure effective planning by setting the right pace in collaboration with the production management team to meet weekly output targets set by our S&OP demand and supply team.

A key success parameter is strong collaboration with your stakeholders in the Production Team, S&OP department, and support functions. You should be able to navigate a dynamic environment and mitigate potential production or supply issues to ensure delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

The role owns the end-to-end production planning cycle—from clear-to-build and clear-to-ship checks, through weekly and quarterly planning, to maintenance and clean-up of production data in the ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012) and MES (Siemens Opcenter).

Responsibilities

  • Production planning and daily follow-up with the manufacturing team.
  • Ensure operational production planning processes are integrated into shop floor plans and capacity planning.
  • Align quarterly production output to meet S&OP demand plans.
  • Support production as a super user of our Smart Manufacturing System.
  • Ensure phase-in products are planned into production.
  • Support daily operations within logistics areas with reports, ad hoc analysis, and system/flow-related questions.
  • Clean up and close production orders at end-of-week and check the production end log in batch jobs.
  • Maintain MRP production execution setup (item numbers, routes).
  • Track stock levels, review reports, and maintain correct inventory balances.
  • Communicate with suppliers to secure raw materials and manage delivery schedules.
  • Identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, delays, or stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and prepare inventory reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or relevant experience); MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, master scheduling, or a related function in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM certification or similar supply chain certification is a plus.
  • Business- and results-oriented mindset, with a holistic view of the value chain.
  • Ability to take responsibility for tasks and maintain a structured overview.

We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
