Supplier Enablement Outreach Specialist
About the Role
This position is part of the Supplier Enablement team, specializing in outbound calls to suppliers on behalf of our clients to accept a virtual credit card as a form of payment. The role involves understanding and articulating the benefits of virtual credit cards in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, maintaining high service satisfaction, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery. Customer contact is primarily conducted via telephone or email. Additional projects may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to suppliers to promote and facilitate the adoption of virtual credit cards as a payment method.
- Describe and sell the benefits of virtual credit card payments in a B2B context.
- Maintain a high level of service satisfaction by following up on inquiries and providing detailed reporting on outreach results.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with service standards and client expectations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them recognize the value of virtual credit card payments for supplier transactions.
- Foster long-lasting supplier relationships built on transparency and mutual benefits.
- Resolve issues and provide reporting to internal teams and clients on outreach progress and success rates.
- Participate in special projects requiring adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five to seven years of relationship management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to grow client relationships, identify opportunities, and convert prospects into customers.
- Advanced knowledge of payment solutions, virtual card processing, merchant services, and CPS products and services.
- Broad understanding of bank products and services, with the ability to recognize cross-selling opportunities.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Proven customer service and client relationship management experience, including managing expectations and delivering high service levels.
- Strong telephone communication skills, including active listening, professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams, departments, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Thorough understanding of operational processes, procedures, and products/services relevant to payments and supplier enablement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new technologies and platforms.
- Experience providing consultative advice, influencing decision-making, and presenting strategies and solutions to clients and stakeholders.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $98,280.00 - $120,120.00, based on the primary location. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
