Supplier Development Program Lead - Remote

About the role

This role serves as the primary Supplier Development representative supporting an assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU), acting as the key interface between Procurement (Supply Chain) and the Global Supplier Development (GSD) organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Supplier Development representative supporting an assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
• Partner closely with Procurement (Supply Chain) to understand business priorities and translate them into supplier development strategies and execution plans.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality to align supplier development activities with business needs.
• Participate in SBU operating reviews and cross-functional meetings, providing updates on supplier performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
• Support prioritization of supplier development resources based on business needs and operational impact.
• Manage and monitor SBU supplier development KPIs, including leading and lagging indicators, to evaluate supplier performance, readiness, and operational risk.
• Identify emerging supplier risks and coordinate mitigation plans with Procurement (Supply Chain) and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional supplier development activities, aligning business priorities with supplier capabilities, and helping ensure suppliers are positioned to meet quality, delivery, capacity, and operational objectives.
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30%.

Qualifications

• You must have a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience in Supplier Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related function within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed organization.
• Experience in supplier performance management, capacity planning, operational readiness, and supply chain risk management.
• We prefer experience supporting production programs and New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Working knowledge of APQP, AS9100, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.
