Supplier Business Relationship & Performance Manager I
About the role
Leads the supplier business relationship and performance / accountability efforts for assigned supplier group/s. Provides support to the assigned business partners within ARUP to recommend business, negotiation, sourcing, contracting and implementation strategies. Leads the supplier relationship to establish high quality and cost-effective strategic relationships and establishes high level strong and collaborative partnerships. Drives achievement of meaningful total cost, quality, and service goals across commodity categories.
Primary Purpose
Leads and manages the supplier business performance / accountability through business reviews, scorecards, contract terms and obligations and establishes vendor KPI’s. Leads and provides recommendations for business strategies to internal stakeholders to support supply stability and continuity pricing strategies, and supplier partnership and distribution strategies. Provides proactive and dynamic customer service experience to the internal supply chain customers. Assists in the development of commodity level sourcing strategies intended to maximize overall value and cost reduction. Assists in analyzing and comparing alternative sourcing strategies through data analytics. Provides sourcing support for various procurement projects within the company. Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with new and existing supplier partners. Assesses and monitors supplier performance to ensure compliance with the company policies. Ensures that product availability and planning meet the needs of the company. Resolves any conflicts with suppliers to ensure an ongoing positive connection and correction. Works closely with the SCVT personnel within assigned group/s to facilitate value team meetings, provide guidance and strategies and other general procurement support for the company. Works closely with the Supplier Contracts Manager as both a stakeholder and partner to define the contractual landscape, scope, and requirements, and adherence, including negotiations of the contractual terms and conditions. Responsible to initiate, and lead proactive collaboration between suppliers, technical operations, and supply chain. Driving cost savings, cost avoidance strategies, and providing a quarterly report of accomplishments to supply chain leadership on a continual basis. Drives continuous improvement strategies and innovative adaptable thinking to enhance supplier performance across the enterprise. Ensures integrity of department’s practices through the enforcement of relevant policies and procedures.
Essential Functions

- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
- PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
