About the role

National Teachers Associates (NTA Life), a subsidiary of Horace Mann, is seeking a Territory Development Specialist to increase sales to existing and potential new clients within a specific territory. Horace Mann, founded in 1945, specializes in providing nationwide benefits to public sector employees through partnerships with reputable associations, unions, and administrations. This role offers a protected territory and favorable work/life balance with no cold-calling, prospecting, or lead buying required. The specialist will help expand the customer base and establish the company's reputation within niche markets, empowering educators and community servants to receive better benefits and financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct group and individual meetings within the established client base
• Identify and solicit new business prospects in the assigned territory for new account growth
• Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers
• Perform initial and follow-up sales calls on prospective and current clients
• Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities

Requirements

• Sales experience required; B2B experience strongly desired
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and career-minded
• Results-oriented, driven self-starter
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to achieve goals
• Life & Health insurance license required (can be obtained during the on-boarding process)
