POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the sports program, including training, strategy development, and team management. The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in these areas.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide technical and tactical guidance to athletes.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to impart this knowledge.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Leadership experience in a team-oriented environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

• Nonexempt classification.

• Classroom Monitor Hourly Rate Information available upon request.

Contact with athletes, parents, other coaches, and administrative staff is essential for effective communication and support.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Florida Educator Certificate.
