Position Goal
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Develop and implement coaching strategies and practices aligned with the team's goals.
- Provide daily instruction and guidance to athletes in accordance with the rules and regulations of the sport.
- Monitor and evaluate athlete performance and provide feedback to improve skills and techniques.
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices, games, and travel arrangements.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all athletes.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- A Florida Educator Certificate is required for the Head Coach position.
- Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
- For Assistant Coach positions, a standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved GED Testing Program.
- Knowledge of the activity and the ability to impart this knowledge to participants.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience coaching the specific sport at the high school level.
- Previous administrative experience in athletics.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
Positions require physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors during inclement weather.
