SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY -ASSISTANT COACH VOLLEYBALL

Position Goal

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at WEST BROWARD HIGH in PEMBROKE PINES.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and support to athletes to improve their performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

The Head Coach must have:

• A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Florida Educator Certificate.
• The ability to impart knowledge of the sport to athletes.

The Assistant Coach must have:

• A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
• A knowledge of the activity and the ability to impart this knowledge to participants.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform other physical tasks necessary for coaching activities.

Terms of Employment

This is a non-exempt position with temporary/substitute work calendar.

Skills

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage time effectively are essential.

Competencies

Knowledge of the sport, ability to motivate athletes, and organizational skills are key competencies.

Certifications

Applicants must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate or be willing to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.

Location Preferences/Additional Info

Preference is given to candidates who can commit to the full school year.
