SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY - TRACK (ASSISTANT COACH) ( GIRLS)

Location: Miramar High School, Miramar, FL

Temporary/Subs position, open until filled.

About the Role

Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available. Coaches are responsible for leading athletic programs, teaching sport-specific skills, and fostering student-athlete development.

Responsibilities

• Impart knowledge of the sport to participants.
• Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Comply with Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and school district policies.

Requirements

Head Coach

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required per Florida State Statute).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.

Assistant Coach

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach it to participants.
• Basic computer skills as required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior coaching experience at the high school or higher level is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, run, and move for extended periods.
• Capability to demonstrate sport-specific skills and techniques.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.

Pay

Compensation follows the district’s new hire teacher salary schedule for Head Coaches and the classroom monitor hourly rate for Assistant Coaches.
