SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- GIRLS TRACK (ASSISTANT COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for overseeing and managing athletic activities at Northeast High School in Oakland Park.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide guidance and instruction to athletes.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure successful team operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to impart this knowledge.
• Minimum qualifications for Assistant Coach include:
• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of the activity and ability to impart this knowledge.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Leadership roles in community organizations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Positions require the ability to:

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Travel to various locations as needed.
• Handle stress and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

CERTIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach position.
