SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- BOYS VOLLEYBALL (HEAD COACH)
Position Goal
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions at EVERGLADES HIGH are seeking individuals who can lead and instruct students in various sports activities.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
- Provide guidance and instruction to student athletes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
The minimum qualifications for both the Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions include:
- A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
- A Florida Educator Certificate or the requirement to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
- Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Prior experience coaching or teaching in a high school setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Positions require the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities related to coaching and training.
Terms of Employment
The employment terms include a temporary/substitute schedule and non-exempt classification.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Competencies
Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage time efficiently, and maintain confidentiality.
Certifications
Applicants must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate or be prepared to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
Location Preferences/Additional Info
Preference is given to applicants who reside in the vicinity of MIRAMAR.
