SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- BOYS BASKETBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

Position Goal

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at NE High School in Oakland Park.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for student athletes.
• Provide guidance and support to student athletes in their athletic and academic development.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure the success of the team.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• A valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• For Assistant Coach: Standard high school diploma or GED, knowledge of the activity, and computer skills as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Terms of Employment

• Temporary/Subs classification.
• No relocation assistance provided.

Certifications

Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
