SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- BASEBALL (HEAD COACH)

Location: J.P. Taravella High School, Coral Springs

About the Role

This position serves as the Head Coach or Assistant Coach for a high-school athletic program.

Responsibilities

• Impart sport-specific knowledge and skills to student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with all Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and school-district policies.

Requirements

• Standard high-school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Head Coach only: Valid Florida Educator Certificate or willingness to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.
• Basic computer skills as required for the position.

Pay

Compensation follows the district’s new-hire teacher salary schedule for Head Coaches; Assistant Coaches are paid at the hourly classroom-monitor rate.

Schedule

Temporary/substitute assignment; hours vary with the sport season.
