SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY - ATHLETIC HEAD COACH BASEBALL

Location: Coral Springs High, Coral Springs

About the Role

This position is responsible for coaching high school athletic teams, ensuring the development and performance of student-athletes while adhering to Florida state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Impart knowledge of the sport to student-athletes.
• Develop and implement coaching strategies and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and school district policies.

Requirements

Head Coach Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of a General Education Development (GED) Testing Program.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required for applicants without a Florida Educator Certificate).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.

Assistant Coach Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach it to participants.
• Basic computer skills as required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior coaching experience at the high school or higher level is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical activities associated with coaching, including demonstrating techniques, moving equipment, and standing for extended periods.

Compensation follows the district’s new hire teacher salary schedule for head coaches and the classroom monitor hourly rate for assistant coaches. View salary details.
