Supervisory Supply Manager - Unaccompanied Housing

This position is located at Unaccompanied Housing at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia.

About the role

The incumbent will manage daily warehouse operations to include the accuracy and accountability of the Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) inventory for Large Unaccompanied Housing (UH) operations.

Responsibilities

  • Order, receive, store, and dispose of UH funded supplies and Furniture Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E).
  • Manage Unaccompanied Housing (UH) warehouse operations and supervise warehouse clerks.
  • Oversee UH asset inventories, including FF&E, utilizing barcoding equipment for the Enterprise Military Housing (eMH) property management system and ensure accurate uploading of UH inventory data in eMH.
  • Research and prepare purchase requests for submission to the Installation supply department when they exceed the micro-purchase threshold.
  • Control inventory, maintain usage data, and provide data for annual budget submission.
  • Maintain consumable supply storerooms and UH warehouse as necessary.
  • Plan for and oversee proper excess property disposal.
  • Manage UH storeroom or warehouse, including inventory of UH consumable supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with the evaluation of contractor and supplier performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprint identification and background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check; discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • Must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process requiring two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
  • A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles; must obtain a valid state driver’s license to drive a government vehicle within 90 days of placement.
  • Must have salary sent to a financial institution of choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Work may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending, and lifting moderately heavy items up to 45 pounds.
  • Must currently be employed by the Unaccompanied Housing Department aboard NSB Kings Bay, GA.

Qualifications

  • Resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Specialized experience directly related to the duties described above; qualifying experience must be equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
  • 12 months of experience in supervisory and management.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition procedures and inventory management.
  • Experience with developing and evaluating supply requisitions; online data input and reporting utilizing the eMH system or similar private sector systems.
  • Knowledge of Unaccompanied Housing (UH) policies.
  • 12 months of experience in concepts, standards, and regulations of customer service.
  • Skilled in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess basic math and reading skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Credit is given for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time experience; duties and responsibilities in each position held must be clearly identified.

This position is a non-critical, sensitive position requiring access to IT II system and/or access to PII. An access National Agency Check investigation (ANACI) is required via the SF 86 security form. Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
