Supervisory Senior Staff Attorney

Responsibilities

• Supervise outside counsel in handling complex litigation cases
• Analyze case files and evaluate for settlement as litigation progresses
• Review and provide feedback on motions and legal briefs throughout the litigation process
• Conduct necessary legal research as required
• Observe court hearings and trials as needed
• Stay updated on state statutes and court decisions relevant to policy interpretations
• Manage litigation across multiple lines of business with a focus on complex claims

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
• Admission to the state bar in the location of employment
• 5+ years of demonstrated litigation experience
• Solid knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law
• Experience in preparing civil pleadings, motions, discovery, and taking depositions
• Strong understanding of the rules of Professional Responsibility in relevant jurisdiction
• Coverage experience preferred

Pay

$113,000 – $194,000 annually
