Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist

About the role

This position is located within the Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) of the Veterans Medical Center located in Coatsville, Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicant(s) must meet at least one of the following qualification requirements.

• Specialized Experience: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) in the Federal Service that has given the applicant the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes:
  • Fleet management and/or common carrier transportation
  • Planning and directing administrative activities related to transportation
  • Prioritizing program resources when conflicts arise
  • Analyzing and evaluating information pertinent to the efficient and effective operation of a transportation program
  • Providing leadership/supervision, instruction/counsel to employees
• Substitution of Education for Experience (Transcript Required): Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M. if related, with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics,
