SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as the Integrated Assessments Branch Head in the Mission Engineering and Analysis Division, Warfare Effectiveness Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position is equivalent to a GS‑13/14.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a branch comprised of junior‑level, journeyman‑level, and senior‑level operations research analysts and military officers (O5‑O4).
• Provide analysis/modeling expertise to represent Navy interests in joint‑service analytic approaches and modeling tools used to support multiple mission‑area program and technology decisions.
• Lead a management team in advanced weapons‑system studies to determine future needs in warfare mission areas.
• Oversee the development and application of policies, processes, and best practices, and assess current and future staffing and skill requirements to support program teams and science initiatives.
• Develop or direct the development of new methods and unique computer analysis models when existing techniques are inadequate for the problem being addressed.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training lower‑graded employees assigned to the incumbent for specific projects and studies.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $121,785
Maximum Salary: $187,093
