Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements concepts, policies, plans, and procedures necessary to manage the day-to-day execution of the Defense Watchlist or Defense Intelligence Analysis Program Production.
• Supervises an all-source intelligence production branch responsible for managing activities concerning Identity Intelligence analysis and information.
• Plans, directs, controls, reviews, and evaluates the work of all-source analysts who develop finished intelligence products focused on individuals, human networks, and populations of intelligence interest.
• Reviews operations, evaluates program effectiveness by review of reports, and discussion with subordinates.
• Provides authoritative advice and policy guidance, acts as a spokesperson for the organization, and obtains support and interagency concurrence for the organization's programs and priorities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a TS investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is defined as:

• Experience planning and executing biometrically-derived intelligence analysis on foreign state and/or non-state ground forces.
• Planning and implementing policies and procedures to develop intelligent program initiatives.
• Delivering analytic findings, in both verbal and written form, to a wide range of audiences.

Progressively responsible experience should include intelligence-related research, analysis, collections, and/or operations, such as:

• Intelligence analysis and/or production.
• Intelligence collection and/or operations.
• Counterintelligence or threat support directly related to the position.

This experience should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle, and organizations.
• Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics, and maps.
• Knowledge of the systems, procedures, and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting, and disseminating intelligence data.
• Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Pay

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement of 17.06%. Subject to change.

This position requires a 2-year trial period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
