Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations).

About the role

Serves as a Supervisory Cyber Planner for the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade. Develops and maintains Cyber Warfare contingency and crisis action plans to support Full-Spectrum Operations. Supervises a subordinate staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Cyber Warfare contingency and crisis action plans to support Full-Spectrum Operations.
• Supervises a subordinate staff.
• Participates in the development of detailed Operations Orders, Operations Plans, Warning Orders, and Fragmentary Orders supporting Warfighters.
• Integrates and synchronizes Cyberspace Operations Effects with the Joint Warfighter’s plan of action.
• Uses Joint, Service, and Inter Agency planning and operational experience to conduct strategic, operational and tactical level planning in support of Full Spectrum Operations.
• Conducts specialized research and development of software and/or hardware utilized in direct support of Army and DoD requirements.
• Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents.
• Collaborates with Cyber operators to identify and levy requirements for information, collection and analysis.
• Collaborates with Cyber Operators, Analysts, and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT and E) Engineers to gain access and technical information to meet planning objectives.
• Facilitates the timely and accurate identification of staff responsibilities in connection with the execution of Cyberspace Operations support actions.
• Through regular review of message traffic, intelligence information, data analysis, and from other sources of information, identifies intelligence gaps, then assists in the development of operational programs.

  Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 25% or less.
  • Stress is inherent in the nature of work. The many short-suspense actions and pressures of time from nearly all contacts contribute to heightened demands.
  • Under crisis operations, may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Overtime/shift work may be required.

    Qualifications

    • Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job.
    • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG-13 grade level in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job.
    • Specialized experience: Participating in the development in Operations Orders, Operations Plans, Warning Orders, and/or Fragmentary Orders supporting Joint Warfighter Cyberspace Operations; collaborating on action plans to support time-sensitive targeting selection, validation, synchronization and execution of complex cyber missions; and, performing code and system analysis of malicious software and hardware technologies in support of Computer Network Operations.
