About the role

You will serve as the Senior Intelligence Specialist for the U.S. Fleet Forces Command, N2/N39 Directorate. You will provide operational assessments to support critical intelligence work including theater security cooperation (TSC), foreign disclosure, intelligence analysis, special security, and collection management. You will provide timely, relevant, and actionable all-source intelligence analysis on a wide range of complex military and political issues in order to inform global force management (GFM) and Fleet and Joint operations missions. You will leverage expert technical understanding of high-end adversaries' military capabilities, especially their command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, space systems, electronic warfare (EW), and cyber capabilities. You will also brief senior leaders on key intelligence issues to inform and influence key DoD decision processes.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expert technical understanding of high-end adversaries' military capabilities, especially their command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, space systems, electronic warfare (EW), and cyber capabilities.
  • Brief senior leaders on key intelligence issues in order to inform and influence key DoD decision processes.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
  • Providing operational assessments to support critical intelligence work including theater security cooperation (TSC), foreign disclosure, intelligence analysis, special security, and collection management;
  • Providing timely, relevant, and actionable all-source intelligence analysis on a wide range of complex military and political issues in order to inform higher command/organization;
  • Leveraging expert technical understanding of high-end adversaries' military capabilities, especially their command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, space systems, electronic warfare (EW), and cyber capabilities;
  • Briefing senior leaders on key intelligence issues in order to inform and influence key DoD decision processes.
