About the role

You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist at the GG-14 grade level, responsible for performing technical, administrative, and management tasks that involve planning, directing, assigning, leading, and monitoring the work of the unit in support of Navy and Joint Computer Network Operations (CNO).

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise the work of all personnel assigned to the 600 CMT Team.
  • Strategically coordinate highly complex challenges using unprecedented approaches, analytical tools, query strategies, and methodologies to analyze situations and draw accurate conclusions against appropriate collection databases.
  • Analyze computer network traffic to identify network devices and protocols with a broad knowledge of Computer Network Operations (CNO) fundamentals.
  • Perform technical, administrative, and management tasks in support of Navy and Joint CNO objectives.
  • Supervise the performance of all military and civilian personnel regarding target analysis and production.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of all phases of CNO intelligence, including SIGINT analysis of cyber activities identifying entities of interest, methods, and capabilities.
  • Manage civilian hiring, civilian performance appraisals, and other administrative supervisory tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year probationary period.
  • This position requires periodic polygraph testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:

  • Performing technical, administrative, and management tasks in support of Navy and Joint Computer Network Operations objectives.
  • Supervising the performance of all military and civilian personnel regarding target analysis and production.
  • Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of all phases of CNO intelligence, including SIGINT analysis of cyber activities identifying entities of interest, methods, and capabilities.
